ABSTRACT
The article reports on an agreement entered into by Lenovo and Novell to provide preloaded Linux operating system on ThinkPad notebook computers along with support for the open source operating system. Maintenance updates for the operating system will be provided by Novell direct to ThinkPad notebook consumers. The 64-bit platform enhancement will offer online catalogues featuring several million items that can be easily searched, found and purchased.
