ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the relationship of the U.S. government with Cuba and how poets can make such an issue useful and more fruitful. He states that poets with a social and political conscience may find the relationship between the two countries more productive than submergence of the personality within the objective limits of the particular event itself. He adds that the involvement of poets in the issue is relevant to the factual transformations the world is facing.
