ABSTRACT
The article considers the adoption of the Convention on Supplementary Compensation (CSC) for Nuclear Damage to serve as the basis for a global nuclear liability regime. The CSC is important to promoting international cooperation in designing, constructing and operating nuclear power plants. A summery of the basic features of the CSC is provided. The article also explains why the CSC is attractive to both generating and non-generating states.
