The article reports on the controversy surrounding California Representative Jerry Lewis. It was reported by broadcasting companies that Lewis earmarked $500,000 for Barracks Row (so named because of the Marine barracks in this Washington, D.C. neighborhood). However, Barracks Row executive director Cristina Amoruso denied the reports. She added that businesses there need promotion because commercial tax assessments for several areas jumped 77.7% this year.
