ABSTRACT
The article reports that the farm bill supported by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was attacked by members of her own party and even outside groups in the U.S. The approach was aimed at reducing billions in subsidies paid to corporate mega-farms. According to Representative Ron Kind, a leading proponent of reforming farm subsidies, he and his allies were not satisfied with the reforms provided in the bill.
