ABSTRACT
The article reports on the difficulty experienced by oil and gas lobbyists in lobbying for the energy legislation in the U.S. It notes that lobbyists exerted their best effort to shape the energy legislation in the final stretch before the August 2007 recess. The legislators on the other hand have different ideas on the energy bill which made it hard for it to move forward. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made an effort to smoothen the inter-party differences that caused the delay of the bill.
