ABSTRACT
The article discusses the author's career development that led him to his present position as director of strategic resourcing and reward at CancerResearch UK. He began his career as a training officer for Allders International and worked at the duty- and tax-free shops at Gatwick airport. He got a job as human resources (HR) manager at Alpha Retail. After that he moved to Safeway. His next job was HR manager at Volvo in Great Britain and Ireland. The reasons for his decision to move to Cancer Research UK are outlined.
