ABSTRACT
The article highlights the program "At the Edge: Innovative Art in Chicago," sponsored by the University of Illinois' Gallery 400 in Chicago, Illinois. Phillip von Zweck, an artist who runs Vonzweck, a living room-exhibition space in his apartment, initiated Temporary Allegiance, a project for Gallery 400's At the Edge. The said project annexes an adjunct exhibition space by activating the flagpole in Gallery 400's front courtyard as an exhibition site.
