The article discusses the farming experience of the author as a livestock breeder at Barnstaple in Devon, England. He claims that his cows are coping well with the unseasonable weather but his grass and milk quality has dropped accordingly. The author expresses his doubt whether the new British agricultural minister would show much sympathy for the problems facing the rural communities.
