ABSTRACT
The article highlights the effectiveness of early colostrum drench in improving the quality of export calves in Great Britain. It mentions that every calf at Stockpole Home Farm in Pembrokeshire, Wales is drenched with colostrum between six and 12 hours after it is born with three liters of milk treated with a rotavirus vaccine. Farmer Chris James claims that Friesian calves are ideal for early colostrum drench.
