ABSTRACT
The article presents information related to switched video. Switching is a way to create room for launching new channels in cable television. Step one in switching video is the digital simulcast in which the entire dialog tier is taken and replicated digitally. Studying utilization statistics over time is important because it shows what channels are selected at what part of the day and in what serving groups.
