ABSTRACT
The article looks at the competition between sportswear companies Adidas and Nike in China. Adidas has opened a design center in Shanghai and planned to open 2,000 stores by 2010. Nike has several Chinese designers and has collaborated with Chinese artists on products such as the AF1 Dog Shoe. It notes that one way to design better for China is simply to make shoes and clothes that fit better.
