ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of some Hollywood filmmakers to take dormant screenplays and commission graphic novels in hopes of boosting their onscreen potential. Producer William Horberg has decided to take "The Black Diamond Detective Agency" to First Second Books. Graphic novelist Eddie Campbell took more than a year to produce the illustrated picture novel.
