The article discusses the author's experience of finding his purpose in life through helping the people of Oak Park apartments in Oakland, California. An overview of the stories of refugees from Cambodia who live in Oak Park is presented. He discusses the drug trafficking problem in the community. He describes the outcome of their efforts for Oakland and his experience in living in Oak Park.
