ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increased net profit posted by China Petroleum Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) in 2006. The increased profit was a result of a one-off subsidy of 5 billion yuan from the central government along with higher crude oil and gas prices. The crude oil output of Sinopec rose by 2.3 percent.
