ABSTRACT
The article cites a study, conducted by E. Abalos and colleagues, which focuses on the benefits and risks of antihypertensive (anti-HT) drugs in pregnant women with mild-to-moderate hypertension. The study was published in the journal "Cochrane Database System Review." They found that anti-HT drugs reduce risk for severe hypertension more than placebo or no anti-HT drug in pregnant women with mild-to-moderate hypertension. However, no other effects on maternal or perinatal outcomes were shown.
