ABSTRACT
The article cites a study, conducted by Y. Rolland and colleagues, which focuses on the effect of an exercise program in slowing the decline in ability to do activities of daily of living (ADLs) in patients with Alzheimer disease (AD). The study was published in an issue of the "Journal of American Geriatrics Society." They conducted a randomized controlled trial in 5 nursing homes. They found that the exercise program slowed the decline in the ability to do ADLs in the patients.
