ABSTRACT
The article cites a study, conducted by C.L. Gillies and colleagues, which focuses on the effect of lifestyle or pharmacologic interventions on type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) in persons with impaired glucose tolerance. The researchers carried out meta analysis with randomized controlled trials. They concluded that both lifestyle interventions, which include diet and exercise, and pharmacologic interventions reduced the incidence of type 2 DM.
