The article reports on the optimism of styrene butadiene rubber producers that spot prices will remain stable in the third quarter in 2007. SBR prices have remained stable since the second quarter contracts rose by €20/tonne or $27/tonne because of high butadiene costs upstream. Current SBR contract prices are at €1,225-1,320/tonne free delivered in northwest Europe and at €1,115-1,220/tonne for 1,500 grade and 1,712 grades, respectively.
