INEOS and Basell have separately made prequalifying bids for a 51% stake in Turkish petrochemicals major Petkim. INEOS has made a lone bid, while Basell has teamed up with Turkey's Demiroren group, which owns a gases business. Other interested parties include Turkish oil refiner Tupras and Israel's Carmel Olefins, which submitted a joint application with energy group Limak.
