The article reports on the asset acquisition undertaken by Austria-based Lenzing in the U.S. The Austrian firm has acquired the majority assets of U.S. monofilament plastics maker Glassmaster through its subsidiary Lenzing Plastics for an undisclosed sum. Lenzing said it would continue to operate Glassmaster's Lexington, South Carolina facility, which makes cut plastic filaments for synthetic brushes, bristles and fabrics, but that some jobs would be shed.
