La-Z-Boy exec finds 'extra' fun

The article reports that Dave Carpenter of La-Z-Boy Inc. in Greensboro, North Carolina applied for a job as an extra in the movie "Leatherheads." Carpenter is one of the hundreds of extras that the movie used in crowd and background scenes. He was dressed in period clothing that made him look like his father. He was scolded only once during the first take of his big scene. The movie is expected to reach theaters in early December 2007.
