The article reports that Stanley Furniture Co. Inc. in Virginia has decreased its second-quarter sales to 12.6 percent in 2006. Stanley recorded its net loss of $2.4 million or 23 percent per share in the quarter. The company's business conditions degenerated slightly as the quarter progressed. Its chief executive officer noted that the firm is not looking for business improvement anytime soon, but the upturn is not likely to occur until housing industry develops.
