ABSTRACT
The article reports that Microsoft Corp. extended Xbox 360's warranty at $1 billion cost. Answering a firestorm of complaints and reports of system failure rates as high as 33 percent, software giant Microsoft announced that it will pay a price to expand its Xbox warranty coverage. The company said that now, any Xbox 360 customer who experiences a general hardware failure indicated by three flashing red lights will now be covered by a three-year warranty from date of purchase.
