The article reports on the grand opening of DuPont and Tate & Lyle's new bio-propnediol (bio-PDO) plant in Loudon, Tennessee on June 8, 2007. The opening of the plant marked a major milestone and drives home the fact that the biotechnology revolution is upon the industry. DuPont and Tate & Lyle are at the forefront in turning corn sugar into plastics and other products.
