ABSTRACT
The article reports on the potential of South Korea's shipbuilding boom to drive domestic growth in the marine coatings market for new builds by five to ten percent in the next five years, according to Akzo Nobel. Oh Soo Kang, CEO and president of International Paint (Korea) (IPK), part of Akzo Noble's marine and protective coatings division, said this was the most active period for new orders in South Korea's shipbuilding history.
