ABSTRACT
The article reports on the adoption of third-party verification processes by several national chemical association as revealed by a survey of the global chemical industry's voluntary performance initiative, Responsible Care. The survey found that more than half of the national association respondents were increasing the level of verification. There is also a growing number of U.S. companies introducing the American Chemistry Council's RC14001 certification to their overseas sites.
