ABSTRACT
The article features journalist Eliza Griswold and her works. In May 2007, Griswold's first book of poetry "Wideawake Field," was published by Farrar Straus Giroux. The book was inspired by her reporting in South Asia and Africa. The 2004 recipient of the first Robert I. Friedman Prize is currently working on a nonfiction book. Her article "In the Hiding Zone," has been published in "The New Yorker," while her poems have been printed in various publications, including "The New Yorker," "Poetry," and "The Paris Review."
