ABSTRACT
This article laments the emergence of a master narrative in the Western media about Iran as the bad guy and the West as the good in the confrontation between Iran and Great Britain over the arrests of British sailors by Iranian forces off the Persian Gulf. It explains that Iran managed to emerge victorious in the propaganda in its confrontation with Great Britain. It criticizes the Western media for failing to seek or give place Iranian views about the confrontation. In the U.S. Christian scholar Bernard Lewis, who holds an extreme Christian views, was given space in opinion/editorial section of leading newspapers. Whereas, Iranian intellectuals were not given such space in the press.
