ABSTRACT
The article reports on the rise of inflation in oil-producing economies in the Middle East. According to an International Monetary Fund (IMF) report, inflation in oil-producing countries in the region is rising because of strong demand growth and foreign currency inflows. Inflation is expected to rise to an average of 9% in 2007, from 7.5% in 2006.
