Edwin Jarmain, much more than a launderer

The article announces the death of Edwin Jarmain, former owner of Forest City Laundry in London, Ontario in July 2007 at the age of 99. Jarmain was popularly known as Canada's original cable guy, despite being innovative and entrepreneural. He discovered cable television (TV) in the U.S. and imported it to Canada. He has sold his laundry in 1962 to focus on Canadian Cable Systems Alliance Inc. and eventually sold it to Rogers Communicaitons. He received the Order of Canada Award in 1988.
