ABSTRACT
The article reports on the role of Roy Armes, new president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., in increasing the profit earnings of the company. In the first quarter of 2007, the tire maker finally recorded a profit. Since the beginning of January 2007, when Armes joined the tire manufacturer, the company's share price has nearly doubled to almost $28 from less than $15.
