ABSTRACT
The article reports on the reopening of the Southeast Branch of the D.C. public library system, the public library in Capitol Hill, Washington D.C. The main floor is flooded with natural light and the centerpiece of the room is a fireplace with reading chairs arrayed in front of it. "Library Journal" magazine targeted the Southeast Branch to use as a showcase for a conference of the American Library Association.
