ABSTRACT
The article reports on the installation of public safety camera system by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to enhance the outdoor security, safety and emergency response throughout the campus in the U.S. The system is equipped with cameras, call stations and outdoor wireless mesh network which integrates visual, audio and data feeds. The system provides virtual fence which offers wireless connection to the buildings in the area and location of any unauthorized wireless access.
