The article features Longwood Gardens, a horticultural show-stopper in Kenneth Square, Pennsylvania. It is a garden with grand trees, classic flowers, fountains and opulent conservatory and gardening arts which are encased in classic forms and enhanced by machine-age technology. Several generations helped create the garden but one person, Pierre S. du Pont, a designer, industrialist, engineer, made a remarkable contribution.
