Comcast Eyes Gradual Move to DOCSIS 3.0

The article reports on the move of Comcast Corp. to deliver Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) 3.0 in the U.S. According to the author, its cheif technology officer Tony Werner is confident that upgrading the company's networks will go forward as a neutral evolution of the existing cable-modem infrastructure. The good news is that when they go for the 3.0, they are backward-compatible, not needing to trip out any modems, Werenr said.
