ABSTRACT
The article forecasts on the increase of mergers and acquisition activity among media and entertainment industry in the U.S. for 2007. Tom Rooney, transaction services entertainment media leader at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, revealed that there were 282 deals in the media space such as broadcast and cable television, publishing, Internet, and motion pictures industry. However, cable analyst and chief executive officer (CEO) of MediaMetrics Laura Martin criticized on the so-called activity.
