ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the impact of the chemical legislation Reach on distributors and on the chemical industry in Europe. Distributors in Europe supply products to 1 million downstream users according to the European Association of Chemical Distributors (FECC). BASF decided to offer paid for Reach consultancy services to the industry. Consultant Lianghui Xia mentions that since October 2006, there was a de-linking as the market started to adjust to the new regulations.
