ABSTRACT
The article deals with the plan of Mesdan-Lab and Keisokki Kogyo Co. Ltd. to develop a neps and trash indicator (NATI). The technology has been specifically designed to be fast, reliable, user-friendly as well as easily transportable to the production floor for continuous testing and evaluation of neps and trash at different stages of production. It is reported that NATI is the only neps tester that is capable of identifying the neps content in synthetic as well as man-made short staple slivers.
