ABSTRACT
The article reports that North American and European butanediol (BDO) producers are unanimous that they will target a rollover for third-quarter contracts, ending a six-quarter run of consecutive increases. With methanol prices continuing to fall in the third quarter, many BDO buyers say they would target a decrease in the price. BDO is made from methanol, propylene oxide or butane.
