The article reports that acetone spot prices in China have come down from its 27-month highs as weak downstream demand has suppressed the appetite for imports. According to a South Korean solvents trader, manufacturers are trying to increase prices, but there are limits. Most Chinese importers say they are reluctant to take positions because new government measures have hit domestic sales.
