Public biotech 2006–the numbers

The article presents a survey which identifies the increase in revenue and research and development expenditure of biotechnology companies that were publicly traded on stock exchanges in 2006. It was noted that the industry's total biotechnology financing reached 48.3 billion dollars. In addition, debt fundraising was driven by an unprecedented five billion debt offering.
