The article reports on the study regarding the home furnishings industry in and around High Point, North Carolina. The study reported that the industry has an economic impact of $8.25 billion. It also reported that the industry generates $4.8 billion worth of furniture in the area. Conducted by the University of High Point, the study's results tallied industry output and employment by manufacturers, suppliers, showrooms, and the like.
