The article reports on a report by Poyry Energy Consulting on the state of the British gas market in 2007. According to the report, the gas infrastructure being built in the country should reduce the volatility of gas prices up until 2015 but it will also mean continuing low prices that could put further investment in jeopardy. Oil and Gas UK said the resource squeeze that saw gas prices peak in the winter of 2005-2006 with a resulting rise in power prices could have been foreseen.
