Albemarle expands flame retardants production

The article reports on the expansion of Albemarle Corp. of its martinal fine precipitated aluminum trihydrate flame retardants in Bergheim an der Erft, Germany. It mentioned that the company expand the production by 20,000 tonnes/ year, thus, raising the capacity by more than 15% and expected to be completed by the end of 2007. Business manager Wolfgang Hardtke of Albemarle Corp. mentioned that it will sustain a source of effective mineral flame retardant fillers for global market.
