The article reports that polycarbonate (PC) producer Bayer MaterialScience Inc. (BMS) is to borrow the title of a track on Abba's album "The Visitors," the first to be recorded on compact disc (CD) 25 years ago in Europe. Makrolon PC of BMS was used as the raw material for the original audio CD. The company has worked with Philips and PolyGram to develop the CD technology in the early 1980s, although the Makrolon material has been transformed several times since then.
