Japanese refiner and aromatics producer Taiyo Oil Co. Ltd. will undergo plant shutdown of its benzene, toluene, xylene (BTX) plant for maintenance in 2 weeks time. The newly expanded Daesan cracker in South Korea by Samsung Total Petrochemicals operates at 90% capacity and is expected to set until September 2007.
