ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the results of the research "An Analysis of Retail Meat Demand" conducted by the English Beef & Lamb Executive in Great Britain. The study found that a 10% increase in the farm-gate price of beef and lamb would not adversely affect consumer buying patterns for most beef and lamb cuts. It says that price elasticity is reduced when country of origin information is available.
