ABSTRACT
The article reports on The Family and Consumer Choice Act of 2007 introduced by Democrat Representative Dan Lipinski during a press conference at the U.S. Capitol on June 14, 2007 in Washington D.C. The bill would require cable and satellite providers to apply broadcast indecency standards to their programming and offer an opt-out a la carte programming option. In addition, the bill would require providers to block any channels which a subscriber does not want.
