The article provides information on the advanced clinical practices for portal hypertensive biliopathy (PHB). PHB refers to biliary disorders which are observed from patients with portal hypertension. Its etiopathogenesis has been indefinite, thus a postulation that external pressure by dilated veins of portal cavernoma is made. The treatment of PHB is either endoscopic or surgical.
